Photovoice Project

 

*All Were Looking for Freedom* is a powerful Photovoice project led by ESCIP spinal cord injury peer mentors in India and researchers at Medical University of South Carolina, using photography to document the daily realities of wheelchair users—the challenges, the victories, and the vision for an accessible future. Through deeply personal images and stories, participants highlight barriers to community access, from broken sidewalks to inaccessible public spaces, while also sharing moments of joy, connection, and resilience.
